# Add a Sending Domain

### Why Domain Authentication Is Mandatory

We require SPF,DKIM and DMARC setup before enabling sending to:

* Protect your domain from spoofing & phishing attacks
* Improve inbox placement and domain reputation
* Prevent spam and infrastructure misuse
* Maintain high IP reputation across shared infrastructure
* Ensure compliance with Gmail, Yahoo & global ISP requirements

This process applies to:

* ✅ Paid accounts
* ✅ Free trials
* ✅ Shared IP users
* ✅ Dedicated IP users

***

Please email the below information to:

### Dedicated IP – Do You Need One?

You may require a Dedicated IP if:

* Monthly volume is above 500K+
* You require full reputation control
* You send mixed traffic types
* You need brand isolation
* You are an enterprise sender

For smaller volumes, Shared IP is recommended.

Our team will suggest the correct IP setup based on your volume and risk profile.

### Step 2: We Generate DNS Records

Once we receive your details, Kasplo will generate:

* SPF record
* DKIM record(s)
* Return-Path / Bounce domain
* Tracking domain (if applicable)
* DMARC recommendation (optional but advised)

We will share clear DNS instructions.

***

### Step 3: You Update DNS

Your team must update the provided DNS records in your DNS provider panel.

Important:

* Do not modify record values
* Ensure there are no duplicate SPF records
* TTL recommended: 300 seconds

***

### Step 4: Kasplo Verification

Once DNS is updated:

* Our team verifies propagation
* Validates authentication setup
* Performs security checks
* Approves domain for sending

After successful verification:

✅ Your sending domain will be approved\
✅ Self-onboarding checklist will automatically move to “Completed”

***

### Why We Manually Approve Domains

Kasplo performs manual verification to:

* Prevent spam campaigns
* Block phishing attempts
* Protect shared IP reputation
* Ensure infrastructure integrity
* Maintain compliance with ISP policies

This protects all customers on our platform.

***

### Free Trial Accounts

For free trials:

* Domain authentication is mandatory
* Volume limits may apply
* Dedicated IPs are not provided
* Sending is enabled only after verification

***

### Important Best Practices

* Always use a subdomain (recommended: mail.yourdomain.com)
* Keep marketing and transactional traffic separate
* Do not reuse domains flagged in previous ESPs
* Warm up new domains properly before scaling
