# Understanding email verification credits

Kasplo’s Email Verification Tool operates on a **credit-based system**, giving you full control over how and when you verify your contacts.

Here’s everything you need to know about how credits work:

### **1. What Are Email Verification Credits?**

Credits are the units you use to verify email addresses within Kasplo. Each **unique email address** consumes **one credit** when verified.

### **2. How Are Credits Counted?**

* **Only Unique Emails Are Counted**\
  Duplicate email addresses within the same file or across multiple uploads are automatically detected and **not counted again**. This ensures you get the maximum value out of your credits.
* **Skipped or Failed Verifications Don't Consume Credits**\
  If an email is skipped due to a processing issue or billing-related error, it won’t consume a credit.

### **3. Credit Validity Period**

Once purchased, your verification credits are **valid for 1 year** from the date of purchase. You can use them anytime during this period across any number of lists.
