# Understanding Lists in Kasplo

A **List** in Kasplo is a permission-based group of contacts. Every contact you import or add manually **must be assigned to at least one list**. Lists help you organize contacts, manage opt-ins, and target specific audiences for your campaigns.

***

### 🧾 Why Lists Matter

* Required for every import or manual contact addition
* Used to manage consented audiences for email marketing
* Helps organize contacts by intent, source, or campaign flow
* Essential for filtering, suppressing, and sending campaigns

***

### 📍 Where to Find Your Lists

Go to **Contacts → Lists**\
Here, you’ll see all your saved lists along with action icons to:

* 📤 **Send a Campaign** — Directly start a campaign for the selected list
* 📊 **View List Dashboard** — Open detailed view to manage and analyze the list
* 🔄 **Refresh Counters** — Fetch the latest stats for active and suppressed contacts
* 🗑️ **Delete a List** — Permanently remove a list (only if no dependent campaigns)
* 🚫✅ **Suppress or Unsuppress in Bulk** — Manage manual suppression for all list members

### 🔁 Suppress / Unsuppress from a List

#### 🛑 **Suppress**

You can suppress all contacts in a list from receiving email campaigns.

**Note:**

> Contacts can be **unsuppressed anytime**, but if you re-suppress the same contact, it can only happen again **after 90 days**.

#### ✅ **Unsuppress**

This action will remove **manual suppression** from list members.

**Important:**

> * Contacts suppressed due to **unsubscribes**, **bounces**, or **spam complaints** will remain suppressed
> * **Only current contacts** in the list are unsuppressed — future additions are **not affected**

### 📊 List Dashboard View

Clicking into a list shows a detailed dashboard with:

* **All contacts**
* **Active contacts**
* **Suppressed contacts**
* Counters for suppression reasons:
  * Bounce
  * Unsubscribe
  * Spam complaint
  * Manually deactivated

You’ll also see a **refresh button** to update the metrics in real-time.

### ⚙️ Actions from List Dashboard

From within any list, you can:

* Import new contacts to this list
* Export contacts
* Add a single contact manually
* View all contacts in the list
* Remove a specific contact from the list

***

### ✅ Best Practices

* Use lists to group consented contacts by purpose (e.g., Newsletter, Webinar, Product Users)
* Regularly review suppression metrics to monitor list health
* Use the refresh button after imports or bulk actions to ensure accurate stats
* Avoid uploading unsubscribed or bounced users to the same list
