# How to create and send an email campaign

Kasplo makes it easy to design, target, and send bulk email campaigns with high deliverability. This guide will walk you through each step to help you set up your campaign confidently and effectively.

***

### **Step 1: Navigate to the Campaign Section**

1. Once you're logged in to your **Kasplo Dashboard**, look at the left-hand navigation panel.
2. Click on **“Campaigns”** to expand the options.
3. Then select **“Send Campaign”**.
4. You’ll now see a button labeled **“Create Campaign”** — click it.
5. A popup will appear asking for the type of campaign. Choose **“Email”** to proceed.

> 📝 *This is where your email campaign creation begins.*

***

### **Step 2: Set Up Campaign Basics**

1. **Campaign Name**: Give your campaign a clear, internal name (e.g., “July Offers – Returning Customers”). This helps you track performance later.
2. **Tags (Optional)**: You can assign one or more tags like *Promo*, *Newsletter*, or *Re-engagement* to help categorize or filter your campaigns later on.

> 💡 *Tags make reporting and filtering easier as your campaigns grow.*

***

### **Step 3: Choose Who You Want to Send To**

This step defines **who receives your email** and **who gets excluded**.

#### **Send To**

* Choose from your uploaded **Lists**, **Segments**, or both.
* You can select multiple lists or segments if needed.

> 🔍 *Segments help you target users based on filters like behavior, location, or activity.*

#### **Don’t Send To**

* Exclude specific **Lists**, **Segments**, or previous **Campaigns** that shouldn’t receive this email.
* For example, you may want to avoid sending to recent unsubscribers or users who’ve already received a similar email.

> 🧹 *This is important for avoiding mutiple emails and reducing over enagement.*

***

### **Step 4: Set Sending Volume Limits**

If you don’t want to send to your entire audience at once, you can set a **sending cap**.

1. In the **Limit Section**, define the **Total Number of Emails** you’d like to send (e.g., 20,000 contacts).
2. Kasplo will automatically consider your selected audience and the suppression list to give you an accurate **Target Count** — that is, the total **unique recipients** after applying exclusions.

> 📊 *You’ll see this number under **Target Count** after clicking “Get Count” — this helps you know the final volume.*

***

### **Step 5: Write Your Subject Line and Add Personalization**

1. Enter the **Subject Line** that your recipients will see in their inbox.
2. Use **Personalization Tags** (like first name, company name, etc.) by selecting from:
 * Basic Fields (e.g., `{{first_name}}`)
 * Custom Fields (e.g., `{{membership_level}}`)
3. You can even add **Emojis** to increase open rates and grab attention.

> ✨ *Personalized subject lines can significantly improve your open rates.*

***

### **Step 6: Design the Email Content**

Kasplo gives you flexible options to create your email content:

1. **Use a Saved Template**: Choose from your previously saved designs.
2. **Drag & Drop Builder**: Create a responsive email using blocks and design elements — no coding required.
3. **Upload HTML**: If you have a custom email already coded, simply upload the HTML file.

> 🎨 *If you want to switch design methods later, click on “Change Content” above the subject line.*

***

### **Step 7: Set the Sender Details**

1. Enter the **From Name** — this is what recipients will see in the inbox (e.g., *John from Kasplo*).
2. Enter the **From Email Address** — must be from a **configured domain** in Kasplo.
3. (Optional) If you want replies to go to a different address (like your support inbox), check **“Reply to Different Address”** and add the alternate email ID.

> 🛡️ *Using verified domains ensures better deliverability and inbox placement.*

***

### **Step 8: Test Your Email (Optional but Recommended)**

1. Click on **“Test Email”** to send a preview of your campaign.
2. Enter up to **5 email addresses** (separated by commas) to review how the email appears.
3. This lets you double-check:
 * Subject line personalization
 * Content design
 * Rendering across inboxes

> 🔍 *Always test before going live — it’s your safety net!*

***

### **Step 9: Final Review and Send or Schedule**

Once everything is set up:

1. Click **“Send Now”** to go to the **Campaign Summary** screen.
 * Review all the settings: audience, content, limits, sender details, etc.
 * If you see anything incorrect, you can click **Edit** and go back to make changes.
 * Otherwise, confirm and click **Send Campaign**.

**OR**

2. Click **“Schedule”** if you want to send it later.
 * Choose a **specific date and time**.
 * Select your **Time Zone** to ensure the campaign sends at the right hour globally.

> ⏰ *Scheduling helps align emails with customer behavior (e.g., 10AM local time).*

***

### **Step 10: Save as Draft (Optional)**

If you're not ready to send, you can save your campaign as a **Draft**.

* Click **Save as Draft**.
* Your progress will be saved, and you can return to it anytime from the **Drafts** tab.

> 📝 *Perfect for when you're still waiting on approvals or final content.*

***

### **That’s it! Your Campaign is Ready.**

Kasplo ensures a smooth sending experience with visibility into delivery, engagement, and performance once your email goes live.
