# Overview

## Email API

Kasplo Email API enables applications and platforms to send transactional and application-generated emails through **HTTP API or SMTP**.

Use this documentation to configure sending, manage delivery options, track message activity, receive webhook events, and understand delivery behaviour and usage.

### Get started

#### [Send via API](https://kasplo.gitbook.io/kasplo-doc/channels/email-api/send-via-api)

Integrate Kasplo using the HTTP API, including sending requests, available options, authentication, responses, and errors.

#### [Send via SMTP](https://kasplo.gitbook.io/kasplo-doc/channels/email-api/send-via-smtp)

Connect applications using SMTP and configure authentication, sending options, responses, and error handling.

Configure webhook endpoints and receive message events such as delivery, bounce, open, click, unsubscribe, and spam complaint.

#### [Monitoring](https://kasplo.gitbook.io/kasplo-doc/channels/email-api/monitoring)

Monitor sending activity, message status, and delivery events through Analytics and Live Feed.

#### [Reference](https://kasplo.gitbook.io/kasplo-doc/channels/email-api/reference)

Review platform limits and operational reference information, including message size, recipient limits, rate limits, scheduled sending, Live Feed retention, and exports.

### Before sending

Before sending production traffic:

* Configure and verify your sending domain.
* Complete the required sender authentication, including SPF and DKIM.
* Configure DMARC and tracking domain settings where applicable.
* Create the required API or SMTP credentials.

A successful API or SMTP submission means that **Kasplo has accepted the message for processing**. Final delivery status should be monitored through Analytics, Live Feed, or webhooks.
